Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026
TapMe.ph(“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Montemayor IT Solutions. We provide RFID/NFC digital business cards and the web pages they open. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to card owners (“customers”) and to anyone who views a TapMe.ph page (“visitors”).
Information we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We never receive your Google password. If you sign up with email instead, we store your name, email address and your password — only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- Card page content. Whatever you add to a business or profile page — business name, first and last name, job title, company, bio, photo or logo, phone number, email, website, address, social media links and chosen page design.
- Card records. The unique identifier of each card, which account it belongs to, when it was claimed, and whether it is enabled.
- Card analytics. When a page is opened, a contact is saved, or a page is shared, we record the event type, the card, the time, and an anonymous visitor identifier stored in a cookie. We do not store visitors' IP addresses, names or contact details for analytics.
- Details visitors choose to share. If a card owner turns on the “Share your details” connections form, visitors can send the owner their name, email address, mobile number, company and a message. We store what the visitor submits and when they agreed to share it.
- Site usage. Basic page-view counts for the TapMe.ph website, keyed to the same anonymous visitor cookie.
Your card page is public
A card page is designed to be shared. Anyone who taps your card or has its link can see everything you publish on it, can save it to their phone's contacts, and can share it onward. Search engines may index published pages. Only add information you are comfortable making public, and remove anything you no longer want shown — changes take effect immediately.
Once a visitor saves your contact to their device, that copy is under their control and outside ours.
Details you share with a card owner
When you use the “Share your details” form on someone's card page, you are choosing to give your details to that card owner so they can contact you. The card owner decides how they use them and is responsible for handling them lawfully. We store the details for the owner, email them to the owner, and — if the owner has connected one — send them to the owner's CRM or other system through a webhook. We don't use them for anything else.
To have your details removed, contact the card owner, or email us at [email protected]and we'll delete them from TapMe.ph and pass your request to the owner. Copies already sent to the owner's email or CRM are under their control.
How we use information
- To create your account, link cards to it, and show your card page.
- To deliver details that visitors share with you to your email and, if you set one up, your webhook.
- To give you analytics for your cards, and to give our administrators aggregate analytics across all cards.
- To manage cards — including enabling, disabling or resetting them — and to suspend accounts that break our Terms.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Where your information is stored
TapMe.ph runs on Railway (application hosting) and Supabase (database). Google sign-in is provided by Google, and our emails are sent through our email provider. Card owners may choose to forward these details to their own CRM or automation service (such as Zapier or Make) — that transfer is made on the owner's instructions. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments, and their servers may be located outside your country.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies:
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in.
- An anonymous visitor cookie used to count unique taps, views, saves and shares without identifying you.
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention
We keep your account and card pages while your account is open. Analytics events are kept so you can see long-term trends. When a card is reset or your account is deleted, the related page content, card analytics and shared visitor details are deleted. Card owners can delete individual entries at any time. Backups may retain copies for a limited time.
Your rights
You can view and edit your card pages from your dashboard at any time. You may also ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and cards. If you are in the Philippines, you have rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173); visitors from other regions may have similar rights under local law.
Children
TapMe.ph is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let customers know by email or in the dashboard.
