TapMe.ph User Guide
Everything you need to go from a brand-new card to a page people can tap, save and share — in a few minutes.
1. Getting started
Your TapMe.ph card has a small chip inside and a QR code printed on it. Both open your card's page. A new card has no page yet, so the first tap walks you through adding it to your account.
- 1Unlock your phone and tap the card on it (or scan its QR code with the camera).
- 2Your browser opens “Let's set up your TapMe.ph card”. Tap Continue with Google, or Log in with email if you use a business email (tap Sign up with email the first time).
- 3Signing up with an email address? We send a 6-digit code to it — type the code in to finish creating your account.
- 4Tap Add this card to my account. The card is now yours — no one else can claim it.
- 5You land on My cards, where the new card is marked Needs setup. Tap Set up.
Tip: Claim your card as soon as you receive it — the first signed-in account to tap an unclaimed card becomes its owner.
2. Set up your page
First choose what the card is for. You can switch later without losing your contact details.
Business page
Leads with your business name and logo. Add a tagline, an “about” paragraph, contact details and social media.
Profile page
Leads with your first and last name and photo. Add your job title, company, a short bio, contact details and social media.
Fill in your details
- 1Photo or logo — tap Upload. Square images look best; we resize them for you.
- 2Name — business name, or first and last name (required).
- 3Tagline / job title, company and bio — optional, but they help people remember you.
- 4Contact information — mobile number, email, website and address. These appear as buttons on your page and are included when someone saves your contact.
- 5Social media — paste a link, or just type your @handle. For WhatsApp and Viber, type your mobile number with country code (e.g. +63 917 123 4567).
Watch the live previewas you type (on a phone, switch to the Preview tab). When you're happy, press Publish page. Your page is live immediately — every tap now shows it.
Tip: Changes are live the moment you save. You never need a new card when your number, job or logo changes.
3. Pick a design
In the Design section of the editor, each option shows a small preview of your own page. Tap one to switch — your details stay exactly the same.
- ClassicCover banner, round photo and contact buttons
- ModernBig photo header with quick-action icons
- MinimalClean black-and-white, text first
- BoldDark blue backdrop with tile buttons
- ProfessionalLetterhead-style header with a contact table
4. Tapping & QR codes
iPhone
iPhone XS and newer read the card automatically. Hold it near the top edge of the unlocked phone, then tap the notification.
Android
Turn on NFC in Settings (usually under Connected devices). Hold the card near the middle of the phone's back.
QR code
No NFC? Open the camera and point it at the QR code on your card, then tap the link that appears.
No app is needed on either side — the page opens in the other person's web browser. Taps and QR scans from your physical card both count as taps in your analytics.
6. Your analytics
On My cards, each card shows its totals. Tap Analytics for charts you can switch between Daily (last 14 days), Weekly (12 weeks) and Monthly (12 months).
- Taps
- Opens from your physical card — the chip or its QR code.
- Views
- All page opens: taps plus anyone opening your shared link.
- Contact saves
- How many times someone pressed Save contact.
- Shares
- How many times someone shared your page.
Repeat opens by the same person within 30 minutes count once, so reloading the page doesn't inflate your numbers.
7. Connections & CRM
Turn people who tap your card into connections. Go to My cards → Connections and switch on the connections form. Your page then shows a Share your details button, where visitors can send you their name, email, mobile number, company and a message.
- Instant email. You get an email for every connection. Reply to it to reach them directly.
- Everyone in one place. The Connections page lists everyone who shared their details. Export them to CSV anytime.
- Send them to your CRM. Paste a webhook URL and each new connection is sent there instantly. With Zapier or Make you can add them to HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive, Google Sheets and more.
Visitors must tick a consent box before sending, as required by the Data Privacy Act. Only use their details to follow up, and delete a connection if they ask you to.
8. Managing your cards
- Several cards, one account. Tap each card while signed in and add it. Every card has its own page, design and analytics — handy for a personal profile plus a business page.
- Edit anytime. Go to My cards → Edit page. Your page updates as soon as you save.
- Lost or giving away a card. Contact us. We can disable the card straight away, or reset it so its new holder can set it up.
9. Troubleshooting
Nothing happens when I tap the card on my phone.
On iPhone (XS or newer) hold the card near the top edge of the phone with the screen unlocked. On Android, make sure NFC is turned on in Settings → Connected devices, and hold the card near the middle of the back. Thick metal cases can block the signal. You can always scan the QR code instead.
The card says “Card already registered”.
Someone else has already added this card to their account. If it was given to you, contact us and we'll reset it so you can claim it.
The card says “This card isn't active”.
The card or the account it belongs to has been disabled. Contact TapMe.ph support and we'll help you sort it out.
Save contact didn't add the contact on my iPhone.
After tapping Save contact, iPhone shows a preview of the contact — scroll down and tap “Create New Contact”. If it opened in another app, try again from Safari.
My photo won't upload.
Use a JPEG, PNG or WebP image under 15 MB. Very detailed images are shrunk automatically; if one still fails, try a simpler or smaller picture.
I changed my details but the old ones still show.
Make sure you pressed Save changes and saw “Saved”. Then refresh the page on the phone you're checking. People who already saved your contact keep the old copy — ask them to save it again.
